| David Cook Biographical Sketch | |
| Dr. David L. Cook is an author, peak performance coach and speaker in both the sport and business arenas. Golf Digest recently named him one of the “Top 10 Mental Game Consultants” in the world of golf. His clients in the sport arena have included the World Champion San Antonio Spurs (1996 – 2004), the Washington Wizards of the NBA (2004 – 2005), over 100 PGA Tour Players, Olympians, several Collegiate National Championship teams, and others. He spent twelve years as the Director of Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Kansas (1984 – 1996) where he counseled over 1500 athletes and coaches. In 1992 his peers elected him President of the National Sport Psychology Academy and in1988 he represented the United States at the International Olympic Academy in Olympia, Greece. He also directs the Mindset Academy a nationally recognized mental training academy for aspiring competitive golfers and has been a featured speaker at two National PGA Teaching and Coaching Summits. David’s articles have been featured in Golf Magazine, Golf Illustrated, and Golf Tips. | |
| In the business arena Dr. Cook is considered one of the country's top Peak Performance consultants and seminar leaders. His business clients have included Exxon Mobil, Sprint, HP/Compaq, USAA, Heinz, American Express, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Bayer, Pitney Bowes, State Farm Insurance, Robert Half International, and many others. | |
| Outside of business and sport, David heads up Sacred Journey Stories Ministries and is a frequent speaker at Christian men’s events around the country. He also serves several times each year as guest speaker for family camps, marriage retreats, and men’s retreats at Wind River Ranch in Estes Park, Colorado. | |
| David has been married to Karen for the past 25 years and has two daughters, Lexie (12) and Hannah (8). They split time between Utopia, TX and Colorado. | |
